These terms govern your use of Recharge, an iOS app made by Solvr Labs, LLC (“Solvr Labs”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using Recharge you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The app
Recharge lets you group apps into “batteries”. A battery drains while you use its apps and recharges while you are away. At 0% the apps are shielded using Apple’s Screen Time technology. Recharge is a self-management tool: you choose what to limit, and you can change or remove your limits.
These terms sit alongside Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If they conflict, the Apple EULA controls for anything it covers.
2. Screen Time permission
Recharge needs your permission to use Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) features. You can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings, after which Recharge can no longer shield your apps. iOS, not Recharge, decides what a shield can and cannot do.
3. Not a guarantee
- Recharge is not a security product, a medical device, or a substitute for professional help. It is not designed to treat or diagnose any condition.
- Limits can be bypassed — for example by removing the app, revoking permission, or using the emergency unlock you set up. Recharge does not promise that an app will always be shielded.
- Timing depends on iOS delivering events to the app. Delays, gaps and rounding can occur, and battery levels may differ slightly from your real usage.
- Do not rely on Recharge to block access to anything in an emergency or where safety is at stake.
4. Accounts
You can use Recharge without an account. If you sign in with Apple to sync, you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (see our Privacy Policy).
5. Recharge Plus, billing and renewal
Recharge is free to download and includes a free tier. Recharge Plus is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks additional features.
- Plus is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
- Use Restore purchases in Settings to recover Plus on a new device.
We may change prices or features of Plus. Price changes for existing subscribers follow Apple’s rules and, where required, your consent.
6. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from the app except where the law allows; interfere with our servers or other users; use the accountability-partner feature to harass anyone; or use the app to break the law.
7. Intellectual property
Recharge, its name, icon, design and code belong to Solvr Labs and are protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. See our Copyright page for more, including how to report an infringement.
8. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recharge is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solvr Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunity, arising from your use of Recharge. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through the App Store in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Ending
You can stop using Recharge at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law) do.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Recharge after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise. Courts located in Arizona have jurisdiction, again subject to any mandatory rights you have where you live.
